Event and Show Business
Home Intermodal Transport BV was founded in 2000 in response to requests from several clients of the former B&J Group (a conglomerate of various transport companies involved in national and international container and FTL transport) for more specific attention to their logistical needs.
These clients were primarily involved in the event and show business. While in the past the focus was on specific transportation from point A to point B, there was an increasing demand for efficient ways to move larger and more complex shows in the shortest possible time, with the least amount of risk, placing the responsibility for this transportation on the carrier.
Event and Show Business
Home Intermodal Transport BV was able to fulfill the role of a comprehensive logistics service provider by leveraging the specific expertise of its two directors and the vast resources of materials and personnel available within the group.
In recent years, the demand for logistics services has expanded enormously, and these services are now provided worldwide.
Due to the increasing divergence from the core business of the B&J Group, it was decided in 2007 that Home Intermodal Transport would operate independently to fully focus on logistics services for the event and show business.
A portion of the B&J Group (Beukers & Jurling Exp.- en Vrachtautobedrijf BV) was retained as a dedicated supplier for road transport, and the headquarters was established in Bergschenhoek.
Bergschenhoek is located near Rotterdam, about 5 minutes from Rotterdam Airport. HIT offers extensive parking, storage, and transfer facilities, as well as workshops here.
In 2016, the decision was made to relocate the headquarters to Zevenbergen (Moerdijk), from where all activities are now carried out.

In addition to our offices in Zevenbergen and Rotterdam, we have offices in Great Britain, Thailand and Hong Kong.
We also use a permanent network of agents in the Scandinavian countries, Spain, Italy and in the US, China, Singapore, Australia and New Zealand.
